Handspun Chilean wool raised by Paty Ayelef

In this piece for my solo show at the Cambridge Foundry titled Bedrock, handspun yarn curves and drapes like an opening hand. I spun this skein on a handmade Mapuche spindle while apprenticing master fiber artist Paty Ayelef in Chile. The twists and curls of the skein document the live energy carried in Mapuche handspun wool.
